I haz the shot
Out yesterday to get the vaccine, so far so good. Just a bit sore at the injection spot. And am ever so grateful for finally having my number called.
Much to write about almost all about socks. I save almost every bit of leftover yarns and sooner or later put it in socks somewhere. Long being a fan of greens I finally made myself a pair of green Monstersocks. I easily have enuff still left to make another pair.
Miss M that I have been making odd socks for for the last 5-6 years has gone thru a real growth spurt from a 5-6 in early fall to almost an 8, so last two pair of socks will have to go someplace else. And waiting in the wings is Miss E, will be a bit before these fit but her Mom will store until the time comes.
Road to Tatla pretty well dry, a few damp spots and lots of frost heaves makes going slow. And was delighted to find my driveway completely snow and mud free.
Also working on first of two pair going to Kaslo, mens size 11, followed by ladies size 11, glad I have severak more of the main colour skeins on hand. gray is KnitPicks Hawthorne, do like the stuff.
No excuses for not keeping blog up to date, have been wondering if anybody even cared. And this winter has been a bit taxing, so if not for my sock knitting woud have gone wonkers.
I’ve missed you.
ReplyDeleteI care! I have been anxiously checking your blog since February and was so glad to see this post! My husband and I are going for our 2nd Pfizer shot tomorrow. Some peace of mind. Love the green socks but really love the colors and designs in the men's socks. Welcome back!! Sue in Western NY
ReplyDeleteChecked each day and hoped you were well. So glad you have been knitting and are writing again.
ReplyDeleteAngel
I check every week, love seeing socks and reading about weather.
ReplyDeleteI care and I miss seeing what you're up to. I've also been bad about keeping my blog up to date. It's been a tough year and not even covid related, family illnesses, death and family crisis. We get our second moderna vaccines next Tuesday - whoo hoo.
ReplyDeleteHere's hope to visiting again at a fiber festival in the future.
I care and check your blog every day too! Glad you are well!
ReplyDeleteI am fully vaxxed with Pfizer from just outside of NYC.
Love the zings of gold in your green monstersocks. Congratulations on getting your vaccination; I go for my second one next Wednesday and am enjoying thinking about what I'm going to do first. Probably get a haircut from an actual professional stylist (my husband did his best).
ReplyDeleteI care, too, and am always pleased to hear things are going well for you.
ReplyDeleteWas beginning to think the bears got you! Haven't got my shot, they finally hit my age group & I'm stuck at home with a twisted knee. I'm barely hobbling & unable to get down my ramp to the car. Maybe next week.
ReplyDeleteI read your every post and have wondered how you were doing. I’ve had both shots but still go out with a mask.
ReplyDeleteI check every day to see if you have written anything on your Blog . I really enjoy it. The socks came out nice. Like the green ones. It's nice of you to make the socks for the little ones. I bet their Mom is so happy to get them. It's great you got your shot. Now if everyone gets one like they should , then maybe we can help get rid of this virus. You take special care!!
ReplyDeleteLike many of the above, I check every day to see if you are safe from the bears! Glad to hear from you today, and to see that you have been spending your time wisely with such lovely socks. Are you now safe from further snow, or do you have to still keep the ice scraper handy? Here in the Southern US we are having temps in the 75-80 F range, which is too hot too soon for my taste! Take care and stay safe.
ReplyDeleteI check your blog several times a week. It seems that other bloggers post less often, too. But I love seeing your knitting and spinning and hearing about your life. Stay well!
ReplyDeleteI too check in everyday. You really amaze me with your beautiful socks and the life you have out in the wilderness. I can’t imagine looking out the window and seeing bears! I hope you stay safe and are well
ReplyDeleteOf course we care, I check in daily to see if you've posted. Miss you when you don't post.
ReplyDeleteLong time visitor, though rarely comment; it's good to "hear" you back online as I enjoy the comments on socks, and fiber, and life in the great North. Lived in AK many years ago, and always hoped to return one day though that window's likely now passed. Glad to hear you've gone through first jab with little effect and trust the second will be equally so.
ReplyDeleteI care. I wondered and hoped you were well. Glad you got your poke. Stay safe
ReplyDeleteI love those green-themed monster socks you knit for yourself. Glad you are well - carry on spinning and knitting.
