The creamy white is Knit Picks  bare Hawthorne,  none of  the other greys  and white  are  in  memory   bank.

Usually  November  is  one   of  the  our  snow  months,  not this  year,  it's  either predicted  to snow (and  it  doesn't  happen) or very light snow falls that's  not  accumulating.

Current socks are another reach in the  bag and knit 7-10 rows of whatever comes out.  Have the  most of the red so it will likely be the dominant colour.

Even  tho I  have knit many  pair of scrap  Monstersocks the leftover bags of bits never gets any smaller.  I really  believe that they breed at night, or the Fae (fairies)  scour  the area  looking for small  balls to add to my stash.

My neighbour brought me eggs, bread and spinach  from  town, so back to my favourite  breakfast (and sometimes supper) wilted spinach and scrambled eggs along with toast..

    How interesting seeing neutral monsters! Let's the patterns and the suble variations in tone shine. I've also had a suspicious relationship with spinach but you're making that breakfast/dinner sound awful good

 THAT WAS THEN THIS  IS NOW In a fit of depravity I ripped the above sock out, just wasn't happy working on it, so now its toast. And I feel better even seeing the small leftover balls. Went thru all project bags looking for my Koigu yarn, and in the bag found a glove already started. Back now to my much loved gloves. A number of years ago traded two different people gloves for 5 balls of Koigu each (was much cheaper then). Plus had bought lots from eBay, so have enuff to make many more pair, especially since I save all left over little balls.  Eventually I'll go back to making socks (its in the blood). I'm not taking orders anymore tho, will just make what I like (especially Monster Socks).  Maybe now and then a pair of fair isle type. Its going to be a brown and mild Christmas, one of the few since I've lived here. Snow in forecast for the middle of next week. More Socks

 Long time.  Made these for a  lady  in  Banff,  she chose the colours. When I sent a pix she said she didn't like  where and how I'd placed the colours in the patterns. Slowly I replied. Then she said when I knit the next pair to put this colour with another etc, again  slowly (burn underway)  I told her that it didn't work that way.  Wouldn't do another, so she said she'd take them the way they were with a discount.  Honey, to late sold them elsewhere. And I 'm glad I don't take any  money  up front. Fraternal and size 10. Have come really close to making the ugliest Monstersocks, bottom pix are closest so far. Was without the internet from 15 - 29 April, amazing how  much  knitting time that freed up. Typical lunch   this  time  of  year,  tomatoes  from Desert  Hills in Ashcroft  (banana belt of  BC).  Went down and picked  up a  25 pound  box  of ripe  field tomatoes,  have had one with every meal since  getting  home. Ashcroft is a good  5  hour drive, so it  has to be  a planned trip,  expensive to  drive that  far  but so  worth  it for  me.     Finished another  pair  of scrapper socks, used  as many  of the brighter colours  as I could  find in the stash.  Ended up quite liking them.  They will go into a  basket for  Christmas  giving.
