This and That

My laptop has bit the bullet and died, not completely unexpected, think it's at least 7-8 years old. So this just leaves me with my iPad and no iPhoto. Just took pix this morning using a real camera and now no way to get pix into iPhoto. Did take a few at the Williams Lk spin in last Saturday, so for now will try and get them into the blog. Spoke to soon, doesn't seem to like to want to work.

Went into town last Friday for spin in on Saturday, had lots of running around to do Friday, then up to Denise's for the night. Spin in was great. Lots of ladies from Desert Mesa came, must have had a good time cause they wanted to know if they could come back next year. I had a lg bag of what I call little bits to spin, none longer than 6 or so inches. Did this once before a long time aga and made what I called butt ugly socks, hope this also turns out to be ugly yarn.

Stayed over till Monday morning had DR appointment 8:50 am, then got a few groceries and left town just after 11 am. Saw black bear on way into town and another on the way home. Today when I went to get my mail saw a sow griz and two cubs in what we used to call the upper east field. Less than a mile from home base, so really in ABC mode (always be careful). 

Next week will be good food box and knitting bee, haven't met in several weeks.

    Things aren't made like they use to be. My lap top is about six years old and I hold my breath every time I use it. It's been giving me problems lately. Glad you got to your spinning class. I'd be in awe every time I saw a bear. Bet the cubs were cute. Take care. Hope to see pictures soon!

Finally got myself to town Dec. 27-28. Prescriptions, haircut, groceries, and most important getting bank Visa problems straightened out. Tried dealing with bank via telephone and both times I connected got someone that wouldn't acknowledge that I was hard of hearing, heavy accents didn't help. Had 7 charges for Play Station almost $1000, since I've never even seen one, wasn't me . Because of all the weird charges they wouldn't activate the new Visa card. A good weather window opened so in I went, took almost an hour getting everything straightened out. Meanwhile when I did get to the grocery store almost filled my buggy with produce and fruit. Had help unloading the car when I got home Thursday 3 ish. Gloves and such

In 2015 I sent Jean Miles in  Edinburgh a surprise pair of the gloves I'd been working on while rereading her blogs, first pix one taken at her place. Second taken while dressed in woolies to go on an recent outing.                       Orangerinos all finished waiting for a dip thru a Eucalan bath.  Current pair started with a base colour of turquoise, leftover Koigu choices are getting a bit thinner but still have enuff to finish this pair. When I first started saving Koigu it could be had for $9 a skein, now  I believe its over $16 US (means almost $21 Canadian, plus crazy post from wherever it comes from). Also have socks on needles, this is one of the last pair ordered (ahem a couple of years ago), no pix yet as I believe they are to be a surprise. More Socks

 Long time.  Made these for a  lady  in  Banff,  she chose the colours. When I sent a pix she said she didn't like  where and how I'd placed the colours in the patterns. Slowly I replied. Then she said when I knit the next pair to put this colour with another etc, again  slowly (burn underway)  I told her that it didn't work that way.  Wouldn't do another, so she said she'd take them the way they were with a discount.  Honey, to late sold them elsewhere. And I 'm glad I don't take any  money  up front. Fraternal and size 10. Have come really close to making the ugliest Monstersocks, bottom pix are closest so far. Was without the internet from 15 - 29 April, amazing how  much  knitting time that freed up.
