Long time

Sorry for the long time in between posts. Ended up going to town on 12th via a medi evac, was in the hospital for 6 days after surgery for gall bladder removal with complications. Got out and was driven home last Friday the 18th and am coming right along. Still not as strong as I thought I would be but see improvement every day. Friend Lorelee stepped up to the plate and has been baby sitting this ole lady, including cleaning my house, almost from top to bottom, something I prolly wouldn't have gone along with if not for the surgery (she can move way faster than me). And doing all the cooking, in other words doing more than she should.

And wonders of wonders have even been able to knit a bit, the anesthesia fog seems to lift more each day. But haven't got brave enuff to try the spinning wheel just yet.

L will take to to the clinic today in my car to get stitches out then a much looked forward to shower.

    Holy Crap Lynne! Glad you ae home and doing well, sorry for the unexpected "excitement and adventure". Guess its a good think it happened now and not this winter in some blizzard! I am sure you will be spinning in no time. Thank goodness for your wonderful friend helping you out. Take good care, ttys!

    I am so glad to see you back here, I checked every day and was pretty sure you had needed surgery faster than you thought. The fog does clear , I had surgery in March and still have trouble finding my words some times but I can knit at least so that is good. Keep healing and keep posting.

In 2015 I sent Jean Miles in  Edinburgh a surprise pair of the gloves I'd been working on while rereading her blogs, first pix one taken at her place. Second taken while dressed in woolies to go on an recent outing.                       Orangerinos all finished waiting for a dip thru a Eucalan bath.  Current pair started with a base colour of turquoise, leftover Koigu choices are getting a bit thinner but still have enuff to finish this pair. When I first started saving Koigu it could be had for $9 a skein, now  I believe its over $16 US (means almost $21 Canadian, plus crazy post from wherever it comes from). More Socks

 Long time.  Made these for a  lady  in  Banff,  she chose the colours. When I sent a pix she said she didn't like  where and how I'd placed the colours in the patterns. Slowly I replied. Then she said when I knit the next pair to put this colour with another etc, again  slowly (burn underway)  I told her that it didn't work that way.  Wouldn't do another, so she said she'd take them the way they were with a discount.  Honey, to late sold them elsewhere. And I 'm glad I don't take any  money  up front. Fraternal and size 10. Have come really close to making the ugliest Monstersocks, bottom pix are closest so far. Was without the internet from 15 - 29 April, amazing how  much  knitting time that freed up. This and That

Typical lunch   this  time  of  year,  tomatoes  from Desert  Hills in Ashcroft  (banana belt of  BC).  Went down and picked  up a  25 pound  box  of ripe  field tomatoes,  have had one with every meal since  getting  home. Ashcroft is a good  5  hour drive, so it  has to be  a planned trip,  expensive to  drive that  far  but so  worth  it for  me.     Finished another  pair  of scrapper socks, used  as many  of the brighter colours  as I could  find in the stash.  Ended up quite liking them.  They will go into a  basket for  Christmas  giving. And   have two  more pair on the  needles.  The darker pair look like black is the main  colour but its actually  a really dark blue. The  blue - greens  is from last blog, all  leftover...
