March 7
Sorry for neglecting the blog, other things got in the way and to tell the truth not as interested as I should be.
Have sorta slowed down on sock knitting (ripped more than one project out), back now on my much loved gloves. Have a stash of Koigu (IMO the best yarn for gloves), it doesn't pill, the colours are outstanding and its sock weight which if perfect for gloves. First I finished the greenie fingerless with as many leftover bits as I had (found more later).
Then brought stash into the house and sorted by colours, variegated and solids, have more variegated than solids, so will have to watch for sales and get more especially in blues, greens and purples. Pix is what I'm currently working on.
Hope to finish glove #1 yet today, have worked ends in as I go along so at the end will only have a few to deal with.
And I finally got to town, first my car Subaru 2019 had to be towed to town for battery issues, was in for 3 weeks and then finding a ride in wasn't as easy as I had hoped it to be. I hadn't been to town since mid October so needless to say I had much to do, first thing was getting a haircut, 4 inches off everywhere, then banking, a car wash and oil change, Beaver Valley Feed store, trip to Wally World, Staples for a new iPad , then a motel for the night. Friday had Dr, Dentist and Optometrist (all ran over time wise) by the time that was taken care of much to late in the day to hit grocery store, would have been driving west after dark, so another motel stay. Saturday I was in SaveOn just as they opened and a major grocery order, got myself a coffee from Timmies and headed west for home and the high country. Had help unloading groceries, got perishables dealt with and sat down to knit, quickly fell asleep.
Looking out wool room windows looks more like the end of April than early March, no snow anywhere.
Good to see your products. The very best in comfort. My socks and mitts are prize winners. Here, curling occupies folks days (daze).
ReplyDeleteBeautiful gloves! I admire your complete fingers; I have little patience with them and seem to only do fingerless gloves. Glad you got to shop and also that you had some help unloaing.
ReplyDeleteLovely mitts.
ReplyDeleteThose green gloves are gorgeous!! So so pretty. Here in Vermont we have been getting a couple of inches of snow every few days. Then it warms up to 40 deg F and melts, or rains. Then more snow. We still have about a foot on the ground and more in big piles from the 14" dump we had a few weeks ago. I will take the snow & cold over the rain & ice any day. Beth
