 Since I last wrote made a trip to town for prescription refills. Was lucky again with the day I picked to go, bare roads all the way to Williams Lake. And did what I call ‘down and dirty’ in and out the same day. First stop at 11 was Wally World where I picked up stuff SaveOn doesn’t carry, then stops at meat market, TD bank, gas station, car wash, then lastly SaveOn for the biggest part of groceries. Home just before 5 pm. Amelia (neighbour) came and unloaded car in less than 10 minutes would have taken me two days.  Wanted to ad pix of lately finished socks but seems like iPad doesn’t want to cooperate.  Finished the light blue Hawthorne pr., then what I called Spreckles, now all I have left to do are the Orangerinos and the Olly pr. Pix when I get electronic talking to me again.  March came in like a lamb, hoping the rest of the saying doesn’t come to pass. It’s almost spring like, no snow left and my driveway is back to wonderful mud, much better than ice.

 5 am start to Gold Metal hockey game equals 30 rows on 64 stitches, on light blue Hawthorne socks. With a nap later am hoping to come close to finishing this pair. Then back to a scrap pr of monster socks, first sock is close to the heel. Then only two more pair of socks and the Koigu gloves and I’ll be caught up. Then I can start the earthy coloured pair for Cindy. Had two night of pretty cold weather mid -20`so with coldest being -27 C`, cold in either method. I flipped my comforter again and shut bedroom window. Temps above freezing for 5 of next 10 days will again melt the snow. Please leave a comment if you are a reader of my blog.

Chipped a tooth meaning I would have to go to town (Williams Lake) to a dentist, emergency appt, now all fixed. But since I hadn’t been to town and grocery stores since mid October, hit both Walmart and SaveOn. Big order, since last trip was in mid October, bought lots of produce and fruit, especially salad fixings, and spinach for both salads and with scrambled eggs for breakfast. Went in Thursday and first thing got a haircut then dealing with TD bank about declined card use, after a couple of hours ended up automatic payments from checking acct.  And card still isn’t working, needless to say I’ll be called emergency number for visa first thing in the morning. Ended up moteling and coming home Friday mid day. Took my knitting in with me but ended up being in bed just after 7:30, slept around the clock till 7 am. Trips to town are getting harder the older I get. Never knit a stitch. Tonight am going to try and stay up to see rerun of opening ceremonies of 26 Olympics. It’s on 8 pm...

 All the December snow has melted and froze, now ice, could ice skate in the yard if so inclined. Fortunately my driveway is south facing and with care can be driven up. Weather for next week if well above freezing for daytime highs, barely freezing at night. Looking forward to mud. Due to arthritis in fingers of left hand I’m having to learn how to hold my yarn all over again. Ring finger which I mostly used to tension yarn is in time out, while I figure out a new way. One thing for sure is that I’m not quitting. Finished a pair of men’s sized bed socks aka shorties. It was the oldest UFO, from January of 2025. Next will be a light blue Hawthorne with greens and blues with a bit of turquoise for highlights. After they are finished with start on an order using earthy colours, various greens, browns (I think), and whatever else my stash throws up. Haven’t been to town to do any grocery shopping since mid October, out of milk, bread, eggs, produce and fruit. One of the joys living 3 ...

  Counted and bagged all UFO’s yesterday and was unhappy to find 7, the oldest going back to January 25 of last year. They are now sorted by age and in zip lock bags, will start with the oldest and then will do at least 10 rows on each every day. The shortie bed socks being the oldest got a bit over 20 rows this morning, this is second sock, now have heel turned and starting decreases down the foot. Using vintage Regia yarn and am impressed with how much smoother it is compared to current issues. Made New Year’s resolution to not buy any new sock yarn until at least fall of 26, so far even with everyone throwing pix of new colours am standing firm. Think I have enuff sock to make everyone I know a pair or two. Watching news MSNOW about another ICE fatal shooting in Minneapolis, breaks my heart to see how far down the rat hole things have gotten.
