Another trip to town again for the dentist and denturist, fitting at denturist for a new partial lower. existing one is prolly 40+ years old and has been repaired so many times that nothing now can be done to fix it. So a new one it is. Took my knitting with and stayed at friend Lorelee's in town, managed to get in about 12 rows on current socks. The second sock of this pair. All colours on the leg are reversed on second sock and may do the same for the foot. Have some Opal sock yarn that is a bit different from the usual Opal one sees. Not yet sure if when I use it for socks that I might use some white along with, have 2 skeins of each of the two colours. Was lucky on my drive home yesterday(getting close to dusk the last 20+ miles) that I didn't see any deer until coming down my driveway, then was going slow enuff that was easy to stop when 3 ran across the road in front of me. Didn't need much at grocery store as big winter stock up order was 2 weeks ago,

Mini Monstersocks

Left home for town on 18th, finally got my snow tires on the car on the 18th, presented me, car and my knitting at Kal Tires and said I would wait until they could do the car, within 30 minutes car was in. Yeehaw. So now legal to drive highways in BC. Then on the 19th dentist and DR., am now off the Warfarin and taking Eliquis instead, no more having to go to Tatla for blood letting. That's a real bonus with winter coming on. Brought quite a load of groceries home with me, many things to last thru the winter. TP, Kleenex, laundry soap, shampoo, etc., Angie L came with her friend Karen and unloaded the car, then gathered up all the empty water bottles, 3 large garbage bags full. Finished the small pair of mini Monstersocks for Jo K's granddaughter. Pair for her grandson on the needles. I trade socks for dump runs, with my gimpy hip dump can be pretty slippery and its much safer for Jo to take goodies away. And it only goes when she is going anyway. Also have current wild

Snow is gone

From just over a foot of snow on Sunday 30th Sept. to nothing. Almost two full days of rain and temps above freezing did the job. From the wool room (where computer hides) I can't see anymore snow at all, and trust me that is good. Well over 20 mm of rain in two days is just about what we have had since early last spring. Finished the almost Monstersocks, thought at the beginning that they would be really different but then someone came along and bought them, wanting them to be almost identical, since I had used up some of the smaller balls in sock 1 I tried to come close colour wise on 2. Same people want another pair but in lighter colours this time with the main colour being pink. Will have to check and see if they are to be identical or fraternal. I've had to cancel Desert Mesa (broke my heart), while shoveling snow hurt my good hip, it only took about 3 shovel fulls to know that it wasn't going to work. Pain walking, sitting, standing and forget spinning, altho
